Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SuitedCV application operated by SuitedCV (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Account Terms

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to violate any laws
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in your CV content
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the service without prior written consent
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the service to third parties

3. Billing and Payments

The free tier is available at no cost and includes core functionality. Paid plans (Pro) are billed monthly through our payment processor, Paddle.

Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. All billing inquiries, refund requests, and payment disputes should be directed through Paddle's processes. Prices are listed in USD and may be subject to applicable taxes as determined by Paddle.

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

4. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain all ownership rights to the CV content you create and upload. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content.

Our service: The SuitedCV application, including its design, code, templates, and branding, is owned by SuitedCV. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the service without our written permission.

Templates: CV templates provided by the service are licensed for your personal use in creating CVs. The template designs themselves remain our property.

5. AI-Generated Content

SuitedCV uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic's Claude) to suggest improvements to your CV content. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated suggestions are provided as recommendations and may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving any AI-generated content before using it
  • We do not guarantee that AI suggestions will result in job interviews, offers, or any particular outcome
  • Your CV content is sent to Anthropic for processing but is not used to train their AI models

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service. We may perform scheduled maintenance, deploy updates, or experience downtime due to circumstances beyond our control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service (or any part of it) at any time with reasonable notice where practicable. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SuitedCV shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or employment opportunities.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your data will be removed within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or fail to pay for a paid plan. We will provide notice where practicable and an opportunity to export your data before termination.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
