Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

SuitedCV (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the SuitedCV application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our service.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and basic profile information through our authentication provider (Auth0).

CV content: The resume and CV data you create, edit, and store within the application, including personal details, work experience, education, and skills.

Usage data: We collect privacy-preserving, aggregate analytics — page views and anonymous funnel events (for example: account created, version generated, PDF exported) stored first-party on our own infrastructure. This first-party analytics is cookieless, does not track you across other websites, and is not used to build an individual profile of you.

Session replay: Subject to your cookie choice, we use Microsoft Clarity to record how pages are used — clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, and the content of the pages as they appeared on your screen — so we can find where the product is confusing. On the CV editor that recording can therefore include CV details you have entered. We do not use it in the admin area, and we do not use these recordings to build an advertising profile of you. Pressing Decline stops the recording and deletes its cookies.

Advertising and measurement data: Subject to your cookie choice, we use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure how well our advertising works and to reach people who have already visited SuitedCV. It stores cookies in your browser — _fbp, plus _fbc if you arrived from an ad — and sends Meta your IP address, browser user agent, the SuitedCV pages you view, and events such as completing signup or a purchase. Unlike our first-party analytics, this is third-party advertising technology: it can track you across other websites, and Meta may combine what it receives with your Meta account. We never send Meta your CV content.

Payment information: Payment processing is handled by Paddle. We do not store your credit card details directly. Paddle may collect billing information as described in their own privacy policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and maintain the SuitedCV service
  • Process AI-powered CV improvements using Anthropic’s Claude API (CV content is sent to Anthropic for processing)
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send transactional emails related to your account
  • Improve and optimize the service

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Cloudflare infrastructure:

  • Cloudflare D1: Structured data (account info, CV content, version metadata)
  • Cloudflare R2: File uploads and generated PDF exports

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Auth0 — Authentication and identity management
  • Cloudflare — Infrastructure, hosting, and data storage
  • Paddle — Payment processing and subscription billing
  • Anthropic (Claude AI) — AI-powered CV content generation and improvement
  • Meta Platforms (Facebook) — Advertising measurement and retargeting via the Meta Pixel, subject to your cookie choice
  • Microsoft (Clarity) — Session replay and usability analytics, subject to your cookie choice. Not used on the admin area.

Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review their policies.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies in four groups:

  • Essential — authentication, session management, and remembering your interface language. The service cannot work without these, so they are not covered by the consent banner and cannot be switched off.
  • Payment — Paddle may set cookies to process checkout and to prevent fraud.
  • Advertising — the Meta Pixel stores _fbp (and _fbc if you arrive from an ad) to measure our advertising and show you relevant ads on Meta's platforms.
  • Session replay — Microsoft Clarity stores _clck and _clsk (and may sync _uetvid / _uetmsclkid with Microsoft advertising) to stitch a visit into a single replay. Together with the advertising group, these are the cookies the consent banner controls.

Your choice: In the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Israel, we show a cookie banner on your first visit and neither the advertising nor the session-replay cookies are stored at all unless you press Accept. Elsewhere they are stored by default, and pressing Decline switches them off, stops session replay, and deletes the ones already stored. You can open the banner and change your choice from anywhere using the “Cookie settings” link below, whichever region you are in.

Changing your mind: Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie for 180 days. You can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the foot of this page. Declining costs you nothing — it never affects essential cookies, and we do not degrade the service or discriminate against you for it.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and CV data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

CV content sent to Anthropic for AI processing may be retained by Anthropic for up to 30 days for safety monitoring, after which it is typically deleted. Anthropic does not use API data to train its models.

7. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Rectification: Correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your data
  • Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format (JSON)
  • Objection: Object to certain data processing
  • Withdraw consent: Turn advertising cookies off at any time via “Cookie settings”, with no effect on your account or the service
  • Non-discrimination (CCPA): We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address below.

8. Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date.
